With great regrets, we’re cancelling all in-person events for 2020, including the SCPS Hawaiian Plumeria Festival traditionally held over Labor Day weekend. The health and safety of our community must come first, and in looking at our resources and spaces, we simply can’t keep all our vendors, volunteers, entertainers, and guests safe, particularly at an event as large and varied as our festival.
We look forward to gathering with you in safer times in 2021.
Presented by the Southern California Plumeria Society, our annual Hawaiian Plumeria Festival offers live entertainment, an amazing Flower Show, along with one of Southern California’s largest and most extensive potted Plant Sale. This event is free and open to the public in the Casa del Prado, Balboa Park, San Diego, CA. Thousands of people visit us every year!

Here is some transit advice for the Festival
Ride sharing is a great way to visit the Festival. If you choose to ride share, please direct your driver to 1800 El Prado, San Diego, CA 92101. This will take you to the end of Village Place between the Casa del Prado and the San Diego Natural History Museum.
Parking in Balboa Park lots is free. If you can’t find parking close to the Casa del Prado, it’s best to park in the Inspiration Point parking lot (on the east side of Park Blvd., between Presidents Way and the Balboa Park Activity Center) for easy access to the heart of Balboa Park via the free tram. Take the tram to the Plaza de Panama tram stop and walk to the Casa del Prado.
Here’s a map and full tram info:

We’re happy to hold your plants for you until 3 pm while you enjoy Balboa Park. Plus, our plant runners will be happy to take plants to the loading zone (on the street east of the Casa del Prado) and wait with your plants while you get your car or until your ride share arrives.
